As part of the society’s programme, visits are organised to places of interest, and over the years have been wide ranging reflecting the many interests of our members

and help to stimulate and develop an interest in the local area and beyond, and all our local area has to offer.

The cost of each visit is calculated to cover the actual costs incurred/break-even over the year.

Afternoon teas are provided whenever possible and transport costs are minimalised to ensure the visit is not prohibitively expensive.

Our Gallery of Previous Visits to Places of Interest

Our Gallery of Previous Visits to Places of Interest is incomplete

The Society has also visited a number of other places of interest, but sadly we do not have any images take on the day to illustrate them.

If any of our members have any suitable photographs which could be used on this website, we would be very pleased to receive them.

If you are able to help, please send your digital image(s) taken on the visit to our email address dscivicsociety@yahoo.co.uk.
